Role description

We are looking for 2 long-term & motivated editors for our YouTube channel Good News. You will be responsible for creating informative, accurate and engaging videos that stand out for their visual appeal and ease of understanding.

About us

We are Freddy and Luis and together we are running multiple channels with our biggest channel "MegaBuilds" recently reaching 1 million subscribers (https://www.youtube.com/@MegaBuildsYT). We have been creating content on YouTube for over 10 years now, continuously expanding our reach. We have a long and successful history with freelancers leading us to work with more than 20 at the moment.

Our expectations

Make sure that the selected footage and animations are correct. The clips must show the exact topic we are talking about. This is very important for the integrity of Good News.

We will invest a lot of time in you by giving you in-depth feedback for each video. Therefore, we expect that our process will become more efficient over time and that same mistakes are not repeated over and over again.

We use GeoLayers 3 for some of our Good News videos. It is beneficial if you already have experience with this tool in order to create high-quality animations in a reasonable amount of time.

We usually agree on a deadline for each video. We expect you to meet this deadline and keep us updated on the progress. If for any reason you are unable to meet the deadline, we expect you to inform us so that we have enough time to adjust our upload schedule.

We expect you to pay close attention to detail and follow our editing guidelines. We have organized our production process in this way to be as efficient as possible.

For us, YouTube is a passion. We love to work with editors that share our passion for video editing and creating high-quality documentaries. Be creative in your edits and have fun!

When applying, please submit samples of your previous work on Cutjamm.

If your application seems suitable for the position, we will invite you to a short call to learn a little bit more about you, while we tell you more about our channels and workflow.

We will then ask you to create a 1-minute video sample.

If the sample is a success we will offer you to work on a full video.
