Job Description
Bethel Church is seeking a creative and talented Video Editor to enhance our digital presence and global impact through exceptional video editing. Reporting to the Lead Filmmaker under the Creative & Story Director and Manager, this role involves bringing video projects to life through post-production excellence and assisting with pre-production and on-set activities. Responsibilities include editing various video content (announcements, highlights, promos, educational videos, etc.), collaborating with the creative team, managing video assets, and ensuring timely project completion. The ideal candidate is highly creative, skilled in video editing software, and able to tell compelling stories that align with Bethel's mission. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to Bethel's faith and values are essential.
Job Responsibilities
Creating video edits to tell visual stories including content cuts, generating motion graphics, 3D tracking, color grading, basic audio engineering, and sourcing b-roll
Utilize and distill pre-production notes to convey messaging, pacing, and visual direction in post-production
Ideate and execute on creative elements that add to the production value of deliverables
Receive and implement creative and client feedback
Export and quality check all deliverables
Video/audio asset management
Ingest, organize and manage media on hard drives and servers
Clean up and consolidate finished projects for archive
Research and present viable solutions
Familiarize yourself with equipment. i.e. cameras, lighting, audio.
Work with Creative & Communications Directors, Pastors, and ministry leaders to understand the vision for video projects
Develop creative concepts for videos individually or collaboratively with the Creative Department
Streamline the post-production process to be efficient, effective, and reproducible
Establish workflow and processes with Lead Filmmaker
Job Qualifications
Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, Proficient in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
Excellent storytelling abilities - proficient in taking raw content and establishing a theme/narrative development under the direction of Lead Filmmaker and Creative Director
Quick learner, self-initiator, hard-working, well organized, adaptable, healthy assertiveness
Strong project management and time management skills
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines
Three or more years of experience in video editing
Desire to push past the status quo and take risks developing new creative concepts
Maintain a desire to work in a faith-based organization as both a staff leader and member of Bethel Redding
