1047 Games is a VC-backed gaming company founded in 2017 by Stanford graduates with a passion for creating innovative first-person shooter experiences. They are building a new shooter in the Splitgate universe and are looking for a Mid-Level Video Editor to join their permanently remote team.

Job Description

This position will collaborate with the marketing team to create a variety of video content, including gameplay trailers and live-action content. You'll be responsible for the entire video production process, from pre-production (storyboards, animatics) to post-production (editing, color grading, audio). You'll also need to be familiar with the FPS genre and be able to capture the essence of the game in your videos.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on storyboards, animatics, and various video content formats

• Edit gameplay trailers, live-action content, and other marketing materials

• Ensure cohesive and impactful video content that aligns with marketing goals

• Apply color grading, audio post-production, and music editing techniques

• Participate in playtests for trailers, manage footage, and archive assets

• Facilitate content reviews with stakeholders and incorporate feedback

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (game developers, designers, etc.)

• Contribute to improving the overall quality of video content within the company

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in video game marketing

• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual/audio language

• Expert in a non-linear editing application (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro)

• Proficient in a motion graphics application (e.g., Adobe After Effects)

• Familiarity with color grading and audio post-production workflows

• Knowledge of UE5 and Sequencer a plus

• Experience creating storyboards and animatics for marketing content

• Familiarity with the FPS genre
